Salman to resume shooting of Ek Tha Tiger from Sept 10

 

Yash Raj Films and director Kabir Khan can breathe a sigh of relief. Salman Khan is all set to fly to Dublin to resume shooting on September 10 for Yash Raj Films-Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. The crew, including Katrina Kaif (who, as reported, has set aside all other projects), has been keeping itself on hold monitoring Salman’s post-surgery recuperation. Now they can heave a sigh of relief, as Salman is well on the way to recovery.Says a source close to the actor, “After the seven-hour surgery the doctors had prescribed a strict regime for Salman to follow. But he has defied the rules, as usual. He’s filled with mauj-masti in the US. He’s very happy. Salman has been calling up his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri for the box-office figures of Bodyguard. Though the doctors have predicted the possibility of a second surgery three months from now, Salman has healed with amazing dexterity leaving even his surgeons flummoxed.”Atul Agnihotri confirms Salman’s heartening recovery. “Salman has a Trigeminal Neuralgia with an AV Malformation. He also has another rare complication. He has been treated in the US. The procedure took seven hours and it is successful.”About Salman not paying attention to doctors’ orders Atul says, “He is en route to recovery defying post-operation instructions. That’s Salman for you.”About further treatment, Atul says, “Salman has to get a check-up done in three months to decide if he needs to get a second procedure done. He should commence shooting for Yash Raj soon in Dublin.”Sources at Yash Raj confirm that the shooting resumes on September 10 which incidentally is the date when Salman’s Dabangg had released.

Salman Khan may be all set to complete a hattrick this Eid with 'Bodyguard' if predictions for the movie by numerologists are to be believed.

Khan's releases at Eid for the last two years have been blockbusters. In 2009, he delighted audiences in Prabhu Deva's movie 'Wanted' and in 2010, he reaffirmed his superstar status with the masala potboiler 'Dabangg'.



Astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi says, "The title 'Bodyguard' adds up to Number 30 – this octave of Number 3 is neither fortunate nor unfortunate. It indicates strong mental faculties of a person. But that person will have the tendencies to put all materials things on one side – not because he has to, but because he wishes to do so. This number can be powerful or indifferent depending upon the will or

desire of the person."



"Isn't that Salman for us ? Doesn't he behave or act the same way most of the times ?. Be it friends, fans or media. In that context, 'Bodyguard' will once again hit the bull's eye" predicts Bhavikk.



He continues, "Like I have mentioned in the past, the year 2011 which adds up to Number 4 (Rahu) have been proving lucky for most people, places and dates which add up to Numbers 1, 2, 4 and 7 and this one's releasing on 31st August 2011. The compound number arrived by adding this day is Number 7 (Ketu). So, it's a double bonanza at the box office this week."



"First time producer Atul Agnihotri (24th June 1970) is currently running in his 42nd year and his luck is as good as Arbaaz Khan's when 'Dabangg' was released last year," he said.



Bodyguard will open across 2,250 screens in 70 Indian cities and with 482 prints across the overseas territory.

First Look: Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger

Mumbai: A silhouetted Salman Khan stands with guns in his hands and surveys the cityscape of an Arab metropolis in the first of its kind digital first look poster of the Yashraj Film’s much-awaited presentation Ek Tha Tiger.

The sepia-toned first look opens with the words: “All his life he fought for his country. This time he will fight for his love”. Which brings us to Katrina Kaif, who is missing from the first look but plays Salman Khan’s love interest in the movie.

Next, we hear Arabic music in the background and see Salman Khan’s silhouette with a neck scarf flying in the wind.

It appears that Salman is on a mission to rescue his abducted ladylove, or so. And the two Apache helicopters whizzing by overhead add a new dimension altogether. Does the plot have an American angle as well?

Guesswork can wait. But we’re sure that Salman Khan’s fans are already itching with excitement and impatience to watch this film that brings Salman Khan and Yashraj Films together for the first time.

Directed by Kabir Khan (of New York fame), Ek Tha Tiger is slated to release in June 2012.

Salman Khan indulges in daredevilry for soft drink ad.
It is touted to be Salman Khan's new actioner after Dabangg. The star has indulged in the daredevil adventure sport of wing suit flying in a commercial of his new endorsement for a soft drink.
The ad was recently shot at a remote location in the mountainous terrains of New Zealand. It was filmed by an international crew helmed by action-adventure film maker Bob Gordon. Sallu has done the stunts himself.
Says a unit source, "The only way to reach the shooting locale was by a helicopter. There were five of them on the sets that feature in the ad as well."
The makers claim that it is the actor's biggest ad production keeping in mind the ad's Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai campaign.
Adds the source, "The film has been mounted on a mega scale and the production budget exceeded over a million dollars."
The ad goes on air from February 25.

Salman in love with Brit model Hazel?

Though believed to have sworn to celibacy, as though determined never to let a girl distract him again, Salman Khan has surprised us.

The actor has recently found a female companion who he loves spending time with. Rumour has it that Sallu and British model Hazel are getting close to each other rather well. She took him out for a bike ride in Pune about two weeks ago, post which they spent a lot of quality time together. The weather in that city is such that you can't blame the two, but they have sure become the talk of town in Mumbai.

Salman and Hazel have been shooting together for Siddique Lal's Bodyguard for some time now but sparks flew in Pune only recently, they say. Before and after their shooting schedules, Salman and Hazel would spend a lot of free time with one another.

This comes as a surprise because Salman, whose reputation of having had an impressive line-up of girlfriends precedes him, reportedly wanted to concentrate only on his career post the success of Dabangg. In the past, he had close relationships with Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif.

He was briefly linked up with Mahek Chahal, Bruna Abdullah and more recently, Kangna Ranaut. But post his "brea-up" with Katrina, the actor chose to doggedly pursue his work and not allow women to distract him.

It seems Hazel is a cute exception to the rule however. Says a source, "Most new girls in the industry get quite intimidated by Salman, but Hazel has not shown any such signs. Salman and she hit it off like a house on fire. It now seems that they are more than just good friends."Hazel and Salman remained unavailable for comment.

These portions were edited out of Bigg Boss and the actress reshot the scenes Most people who saw Bigg Boss on Saturday night could sense how uncomfortable Katrina Kaif appeared in the presence of ex -beau Salman Khan. Though she kept up appearances, despite his constant jibes at her. The actress, who has made several television appearances to promote her film Tees Maar Khan, looked nervous and awkward. Obviously, it was not without reason. Khan, who is known for his whacko and weird sense of humour, drove the actress to the edge. He made digs at her about working with Ranbir Kapoor, her favourite co-star Akshay Kumar and even her ability (or rather inability?) to speak Hindi. Though it was all in good fun, the pressure of being on national TV with her former flame, was just too much for the actress and she just snapped after a point. Says a source, "Before the shoot, things appeared extremely cool. When Farah and Katrina arrived on the sets, Sallu played the perfect host. They even indulged in a game of cricket at his chalet, near the Bigg Boss house. While Farah chose to be a spectator, Kat did a bit of batting while Salman bowled. Everything looked fine but once the cameras rolled, so did the host's witty remarks which were outright sarcastic." Adds the source, "As Farah stepped inside the Bigg Boss house, Kat was left alone on stage for a greater part of the show. At first, she played along but after a point she couldn't take his digs." She broke down and retreated to her make-up room. When she returned, the portions were re-shot. The offending parts were not aired. Farah maintains, "Katrina did not show that she was upset by Salman's comments at least not in front of me. I reached the sets late, so I don't know what happened before."
